The Limner's Art turning into an audiobook!

After many years of thinking about it, I have finally taken the next step in self-publishing, and am creating an audiobook of The Limner's Art. Thanks to Keri,my radio station manager, I am working with another lovely man who has a studio in the middle of his horses' yard. I couldn't have made it up!

So far so good, we seem to be making progress, although as this is the first time either of us have attempted an audiobook we won't know if we have a saleable product until the first few audiobooks have been sold and the reviews start to come in, and that won't be for several months yet.

The process of revisiting a book I wrote nine years ago is 'interesting'. Some bits are a nice surprise, some bits I would not write nowadays, and some bits appear to have been written by someone else. There is a lot of food and drink in this story, and more romantic and sexual content than I remembered. I keep wondering what inspired some of the writing! I'll keep you informed of our progress; I am thoroughly enjoying the whole experience, even if it is a little stressful at times, I am exposing even more of myself than when I write and share my work, and a lot more intimate than I was expecting. I do hope this turns out to be a successful adventure, and I would love to create audiobooks from the rest of the Woodford Mystery series if this is how the process works. Trying to keep my excitement contained, but every now and then have to let out an Eeeeek!

Mysteries in an English country town,
antiques, love of horses, and the occasional streaker wearing clothes

Welcome to the Woodford Mysteries, the adventures of Snowflake, and a new series based in Shaftesbury 'Yvonne Parker Mystery' books

Welcome to my imagination!

I have written several books that are full of life, love and mystery in the countryside. There is murder and intrigue, fun evenings in the local pub with friends, Zumba, running clubs, romance, and fear in the community.

Can you trust your instincts when you meet someone new? Is that person you have known for years really who you think they are?

I have spent over two decades in the antiques business in Dorset, in the Shaftesbury area, and almost 50 years around horses, providing me with an abundance of real-life experiences to draw on.

love to weave mystery and drama into my plots, so if you are looking for a writer who can bring stories of the countryside to life then look no further!
